                                                                                                   ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY 

        “Culture is to know hundred words more than others” Frédéric dard, a French writer said. Here the author shows us that the multiculturalism  is an asset. Besides, most of people begin to learn full of languages. Today in Europe 92% of people learn a foreign language. 

          However, are we for or against the fact that it is possible to live between several cultures without choosing one ?  

        We will see that Man feels complete with his two cultures and after that the culture shock often push Man to make a choice.  

       In one hand,  I would like to start by saying that living between different cultures means that one completes the other, that we can abandon none and that we feel incomplete if we reject one.Thus the person easily understands the way of thinking of the environment where he or she is going. She or he may or may not agree, but she or he understands the reasons behind the thought. Diversity of thought, speech and language are ingrained in the individual, borders are invisible, destroyed. Let's take for example an individual who is both Turkish and French. He is immersed in Turkish culture at home and in the outside world he lives in French culture. Thus, he is able to have contact with different individuals.  

      In another hand, I would like to say that living between two cultures sometimes pushes the individual to make a choice. Indeed, the individual can find himself in cultural and linguistic misunderstanding. In some cases the thoughts between different cultures collide. Take for example a woman who is both from Africa and is American. The rights she has as an American woman are more numerous than the one she could hope to have as an African woman where women's rights are reduced to half or the struggles for their rights still persist.  

    To conclude, living between two cultures can be beneficial and therefore we can love our two cultures. However, the gaze of others or even the fact of not appreciating the way of thinking of our second culture leads us to make a choice of a single culture.
