A new study released by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Tuesday shows that between late January and early October, nearly 300,000 people died in the United States, two-thirds of which were due to the outbreak of the new coronavirus.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found that during this period, the number of additional deaths among adults between 25 and 44 years old increased by 26.5, the highest of all age groups. Among people of color, the proportion of excessive deaths is also high: Hispanics have increased by 56%, while blacks have maintained a 33% increase, which is much higher than the 12% increase among American whites. Hispanics and blacks and older Americans are most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic"
