Kevin Bacon est un acteur et réalisateur américain, né le 8 juillet 1958 à Philadelphie (Pennsylvanie). Après avoir débuté dans le premier Vendredi 13, il se fera véritablement connaître par le public américain dans le film musical Footloose en 1984. Il a interprété un certain nombre de méchants, notamment dans Sleepers, La Rivière sauvage, La Loi criminelle, Mauvais Piège, Hollow Man : L'Homme sans ombre ou X-Men : Le Commencement. Cependant, qualifié d'acteur de genre, il est également connu pour des seconds rôles dans JFK, Apollo 13, Mystic River, The Woodsman ou plus récemment Crazy, Stupid, Love.. En 2010, il est nommé à l'Emmy et reçoit le Golden Globe et le Screen Actors Guild Award du meilleur acteur dans une mini-série ou un téléfilm pour son rôle du lieutenant-colonel Mike Srobl dans le téléfilm Taking Chance et a depuis 2003 son étoile sur le Hollywood Walk of Fame.
